Josh has nine years of private equity experience including a period with CVC Asia Pacific in Sydney and with Cashcard, a GPEF portfolio company. At JP Morgan, Josh helped establish their Small Caps M&A and Financial Sponsors practice in Sydney. Having advised on the merger of GPEF investee EBS with Cashcard, Josh joined Cashcard as Business Development Manager.
Whilst at Cashcard Josh led due diligence on a number of acquisitions, including the successful acquisition of Direct Cash, a Melbourne based ATM deployer and assisted GPEL in preparing the business for exit via a dual-track process.
Josh joined CVC Asia Pacific in 2003 and worked on a number of successful transactions including the A$1.2 billion IPO of Pacific Brands, the sale of Tech Pacific to Ingram Micro for A$700 million, and the acquisition and subsequent divestment of Affinity Health to Ramsay Healthcare for A$1.4 billion.
Josh joined Ironbridge in October 2005 and played a leading role in the origination and execution of Ironbridge's investment in Super A-Mart. More recently Josh has also joined the board of Barbeques Galore Australia, a Fund I investment, which has subsequently merged with Super A-Mart to form BBQSAM.
Within the Ironbridge II portfolio Josh has led the investment into Easternwell in 2008, a buy and build of a specialist mining services business that was successfully sold to Transfield in 2010 and the 2011 investment in ISGM.
